Buyer seeks professional services consultants to provide structural and/or civil engineering services on an open-ended basis for a two-year period with options to renew. Services will be performed as needed for projects generally limited to those with costs less than $7,500,000 or professional fees up to $750,000. Each consultant selected may be limited to an aggregate of $1,000,000 in fees per fiscal year. Projects will be located at UIC Campuses in Chicago, Rockford, and Peoria, Illinois.

  • Minimum average score of '3' on past UIC performance evaluations
  • Registered with Secretary of State of Illinois in 'Good Standing'
  • Provide structural and/or civil engineering services on an open-ended basis
  • Perform facade investigation and repair of historic buildings
  • Analyze floor loading in existing buildings
  • Design earth/soil retention systems
  • Perform geotechnical engineering
  • Navigate regulatory permitting processes
  • Work with MWRD and IDOT permitting procedures
  • Work with university project-specific software systems
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Design storm water management systems
  • Implement traffic control designs
  • Design steel structural systems
  • Design cast-in-place concrete systems
  • Design precast concrete structures
  • Design post-tensioned concrete systems
  • Design heavy timber structures
  • Design long-span structures
  • Perform site grading
  • Support projects across multiple campuses
  • Collaborate with various university stakeholders
