Project Manager Consultant for Wildfire Hazard Mitigation

Buyer is seeking a Project Manager Consultant to support implementation of wildfire hazard mitigation projects funded through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. The consultant will manage fuels reduction projects and potential facility hardening of town-owned facilities. The work involves project planning, grant management, team coordination, and budget management through June 2026. The contract includes the option to renew for up to two additional 1-year terms.

• Experience with wildfire mitigation projects
• Experience with FEMA-supported projects
• Federal grants management experience
• Project management experience

• Manage fuels reduction projects including goat grazing and vegetation removal
• Oversee potential facility hardening projects of town-owned facilities
• Manage HMGP grant compliance and documentation
• Prepare grant reports and reimbursement requests
• Coordinate vegetation contractors and youth steward crews
• Implement health and safety plan for project activities
• Track project expenses ensuring compliance with grant guidelines
• Present project updates to Town Committees and Council
• Develop work plans and schedules for project teams
• Provide cost estimates and budget adjustments as needed
