Construction Management Services for Bear Valley Bridge Over the Mojave River

Buyer seeks construction management services for the rehabilitation and seismic retrofit of Bear Valley Bridge over the Mojave River. The project includes widening the bridge to provide six travel lanes, shoulders with bike lanes, a center median, and sidewalks. Key components include over 3,700 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, 796 cubic yards of minor concrete, and 3,670 linear feet of pipeline. The 819-foot long bridge will be supported by forty 72-inch CIDH piles and forty-four 36-inch CIDH piles.

• Act as Resident Engineer complying with Caltrans requirements
• Review contractor's safety plan implementation
• Conduct weekly progress meetings with detailed minutes
• Enforce construction schedule to complete project within allocated time
• Review Traffic Control Plan for compliance and adequacy
• Monitor construction budget with detailed tracking of quantities
• Review and respond to submittals and RFIs
• Coordinate with utility companies prior to and during construction
• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating change orders
• Oversee SWPPP program and monitor compliance
• Visit off-site fabrication facilities as required
• Enforce Labor Compliance and DBE requirements per regulations
• Conduct final walkthrough and prepare punch lists
• Coordinate environmental monitoring during construction
• Review and verify construction quantities installed
