Engineering Services for the Agricultural Department Building Foundation Repair Project

Buyer seeks qualified engineering firms to provide design and construction review services for foundation repair. The project involves repairing a 120-foot section of the southeastern foundation of the Agricultural Building that shows evidence of movement. This repair project must be coordinated with a separate interior remodel project. Buyer plans to consolidate both projects into a single construction bidding package.

• 7/16/2025 - Pre-Proposal Site Visit
• 7/31/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 8/8/2025 - Committee Completes Review of RFPs
• 8/12/2025 - Oral Interviews (if required)
• 9/9/2025 - Board Approval
• 9/10/2025 - Consultant Begins Preliminary Design
• 1/1/2026 - Preliminary Design Completion
• 4/1/2026 - Construction Documents Complete

• Experience in foundation rehabilitation
• Experience with coordination of architectural design
• Experience with construction oversight in occupied buildings
• Proper certification and licensing under California laws

• Attend kickoff meeting to understand project needs
• Prepare preliminary cost-effective design to stop foundation subsidence
• Provide construction cost estimates and track anticipated costs
• Coordinate with architectural team handling interior remodel project
• Prepare final construction documents including plans, drawings, and specifications
• Submit progress sets at 65%, 95%, and 100% completion
• Assist with contractor requests during bidding phase
• Review material submittals during construction phase
• Conduct site visits to review general project progress
• Assist with and review contract change order requests
