Buyer seeks a qualified broker to provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services for eligible Delaware Medical Assistance Program members. Buyer requires the administration and provision of NEMT services throughout all three Delaware counties. The broker will coordinate transportation, reimburse service providers, and implement accountability measures to ensure effective utilization of expenditures. Services must be provided for approximately 256,000 Medicaid and 8,900 Delaware Healthy Children enrollees.

  • Provide Delaware license(s) and/or certification(s) necessary to perform services
  • Apply for National Provider Identification number
  • Complete registration with Delaware Medical Enterprise System
  • Meet requirements as described at 42 CFR Part 440.170
  • Provide proof of required insurance coverage
  • Provide statewide non-emergency medical transportation services
  • Coordinate trips and manage transportation scheduling system
  • Ensure reasonable access to/from medical services for Medicaid members
  • Administer services across all three Delaware counties
  • Provide wheelchair van, non-emergency ambulance, and car/station wagon services
  • Implement quality assurance and monitoring procedures
  • Offer public transportation and mileage reimbursement options
  • Establish and maintain provider network
  • Process transportation service requests and determine eligibility
  • Support participants in PROMISE and Pathways programs
