Buyer seeks professional engineering services for multiple 2022-2023 storm damage repair projects throughout Santa Cruz County. - Perform geotechnical analysis and subsurface investigation of storm-damaged sites
- Assess damage causes and determine most feasible repair methods
- Prepare geotechnical reports to support Damage Assessment Forms
- Design repairs for multiple roadway and shoulder slip-outs
- Develop MSE wall design for Hazell Dell Road PM 2.35
- Design soldier pile walls for multiple damaged locations
- Create rock slope protection designs and drainage improvements
- Obtain environmental permits from Water Board, Fish & Wildlife
- Secure Army Corps permits and County Planning Riparian Exceptions
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for construction
- Develop 35%, 65%, 95%, and 100% design plans
- Implement quality control/assurance procedures for all deliverables
- Create project schedule meeting aggressive timeline requirements
- Coordinate with FHWA and Caltrans for funding approvals
- Ensure compliance with federal-aid requirements and LAPM
- Submit environmental permit applications by February 2026
- Complete drilling and investigation work by October 2025
- Provide appraisal exhibits at multiple design phases
- Conduct cost analysis to determine most cost-effective repairs
- Consider environmental impacts when selecting repair methods
