Buyer seeks a designer to perform study, design, and construction management services for a MAC Pad at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, MA. The project involves designing a concrete pad and access pavement for munitions assembly operations as part of the 104th Fighter Wing's conversion from F-15C to F-35A fighter jets. • Design experience in military facilities including maintenance shops and training facilities
• Knowledge of Military Construction requirements and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Standards
• Experience with Commonwealth Massachusetts Public Bidding policies
• Must have licensed/registered professional engineer

• Design concrete MAC pad (71.5' x 21.5') and access pavement
• Design lightning protection system for pad area
• Conduct botanical survey for Wild Lupine in Priority Habitat
• Design power distribution system with exterior-rated disconnects and circuit breakers
• Develop 100% construction specifications and required bid forms
• Design access roads for vehicle circulation around MAC tent
• Create pad design to sustain minimum load of 500 PSI
• Provide perimeter LED lighting design for MAC pad
• Coordinate with stakeholders on final location of MAC pad
• Conduct design charrette and multiple design review meetings
• Prepare meeting minutes for all project meetings
• Develop design to accommodate munitions transportation equipment
• Complete all deliverables within 120-day performance period
• Ensure compliance with military anti-terrorism and force protection standards
• Complete study, design, and construction management services
