Buyer seeks qualified firms to provide Facility Condition Assessment services for public school buildings and systems. The assessments will help school divisions determine how to plan for and fund long-term capital needs. Services include onsite evaluations of all major building systems to determine life cycle costs and immediate facility management needs. • Perform detailed facility condition assessments of school buildings and systems
• Provide cost estimates for recommended repairs and improvements
• Develop priority rankings for facility maintenance needs over 20-year timeframe
• Document major building systems with digital photos and detailed inventory
• Evaluate ADA compliance and code requirements
• Assess structural components, roofing, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Calculate Facility Condition Index scores for each school
• Train school facility staff on assessment techniques
• Develop standardized assessment templates and reporting tools
• Integrate student interns from Virginia higher education institutions
