Buyer seeks a qualified brokerage and consulting firm to provide employee health benefits consulting services. The buyer employs approximately 250 full-time employees and 10 retirees for whom insurance benefits are provided. The selected consultant will help control rising benefit costs through comprehensive analysis, competitive marketing, carrier negotiations, and administrative support. Services include benefits management, data processing, compliance assistance, and wellness initiatives.

• Review and analyze employee benefits for cost control measures
• Competitive marketing and placement of health plans
• Resource during collective bargaining sessions
• Carrier negotiations to reduce insurance costs
• Coordinate and participate in open enrollment
• Administer and coordinate wellness initiatives
• Provide healthcare reform compliance guidance
• Develop annual budgetary forecasts for benefits
• Prepare monthly and quarterly comprehensive reports
• Audit carrier performance and resolve claim disputes
• Reconcile and audit weekly and monthly claims
• Prepare employee communication materials for benefit selection
• Attend quarterly Labor Management Health Insurance Committee meetings
• Implement innovative healthcare solutions
• Provide support to employees and retirees regarding insurance plans
• Ensure HIPAA compliance
• Analyze claims experience and utilization data
• Develop strategies to implement new regulations
• Process electronic transfer of data between County and carriers
• Generate computer reports for management purposes
