Buyer requires an independent annual audit performed by a qualified Certified Public Accountant. The contract will be for an initial term of five years with optional renewal annually for an additional two years. The auditor will perform financial and compliance audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and government auditing standards. This includes preparing financial statements and conducting a Single Audit if required.

- 8/13/2025 - Notification of Contract Award
- Must be properly licensed for public practice in Georgia as CPA
- Must meet independence requirements of GAO Audit Standards
- Demonstrated experience with governmental audits
- Qualified staff with recent pertinent continuing education
- Perform annual financial and compliance audits in accordance with GAAS and GAGAS
- Prepare draft financial statements and related notes
- Conduct Single Audit if required
- Format trial balances based on management's chart of accounts
- Provide reports on compliance and internal controls
- Advise on implementation of new accounting standards
- Present findings to City Council in regular meeting
- Review component units' financial statements
- Deliver weekly audit progress reports to CFO
- Complete audit for ACFR issuance by March 31
