Buyer seeks a consultant to assist with multi-year strategic planning for the Children and Youth Commission. The strategic planning process will begin in September and conclude in December with a final plan presentation. The consultant will facilitate planning sessions, revise mission statements, update goals and strategies, and develop performance measures. The project supports the Commission's work administering approximately $1.2 million annually to local nonprofits for youth development programs.

• Master's degree in relevant discipline or commensurate experience
• Proven track record with clients of diverse backgrounds
• Experience partnering with foundations, government agencies, and non-profits
• Familiarity with health, education, youth development, and research
• Maintain professional licenses and liability insurance

• Facilitate strategic planning sessions with Commission members
• Review and revise vision and mission statements
• Update short and long-term goals and objectives
• Revise key strategies and performance indicators
• Review grantee reports to inform strategic planning
• Analyze local, state, and national data to identify funding priorities
• Prepare and facilitate two three-hour strategic planning retreats
• Deliver final strategic plan in hard and electronic copies
• Present plan to community stakeholders and governing bodies
• Evaluate previous strategic plans and needs assessments
