Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation

Buyer seeks a qualified organization to serve as its European Trade and Investment Representative Office for Fiscal Year 2026. The contractor will promote Wisconsin exports, support SMEs, and attract foreign direct investment across Europe, with particular expertise in the DACH region. Services include export counseling, market intelligence, partner search, trade mission support, FDI lead generation, and ongoing reporting. Buyer requires the contractor to maintain staff in Europe and demonstrate expertise in Wisconsin's key industry sectors.

  • European trade-development expertise in advising on market entry and regulations
  • Ability to build and maintain a list of target European firms
  • Proven capability to develop annual international trade and FDI strategy plans
  • Experience tracking and reporting export assistance metrics and FDI leads
  • Demonstrated ability to record and report stakeholder engagement activities
  • Provide one-on-one export counseling to Wisconsin SMEs on European markets
  • Deliver tailored market intelligence reports on European markets
  • Identify and vet distributors, agents, or potential partners across Europe
  • Support Wisconsin trade missions and delegations at major European trade shows
  • Develop and implement FDI lead-generation strategy targeting European companies
  • Qualify and hand off investment leads to WEDC's FDI team
  • Represent Wisconsin at European investment conferences and events
  • Coordinate WEDC market visits with itineraries and local appointments
  • Generate at least 70 new FDI opportunities from Core Territory
  • Maintain staff and/or office in a central European hub
  • Provide monthly activity reports and annual strategic plans
  • Use WEDC's CRM system for tracking all client interactions
  • Respond to inquiries from Wisconsin companies within 24 business hours
  • Maintain knowledge of Wisconsin's economic structure and WEDC programs
  • Support virtual trade webinars connecting Wisconsin exporters with European buyers
  • Input all lead information into WEDC's CRM within five business days
  • Provide written translations of documents into English when necessary
  • Assist with planning Governor-led trade missions in Europe
  • Organize investor roundtables highlighting Wisconsin's advantages in key sectors
  • Offer interpretation services for key meetings with European partners
