Buyer seeks an independent certified public accounting firm to perform annual financial audits. The auditor will express an opinion on financial statements in accordance with GAAP and conduct audits according to GAAS. Services include identifying irregularities and providing technical guidance on GASB pronouncements. Buyer operates six full-service library branches serving approximately 384,000 residents across Douglas County, Colorado.

• 12/31/2025 - Interim Testing
• 3/15/2026 - Completion of Fieldwork
• 4/15/2026 - Final Audit Report & Management Letter Issued
• 4/25/2026 - Presentation to Board of Trustees

• Current license to practice public accounting
• Experience with governmental and library audits
• Satisfactory external quality control (peer) review
• Certified engagement partner, managers, and on-site staff

• Perform annual audit of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GAAS
• Express opinion on fair presentation of library's financial statements
• Issue audit report and management letter to Board of Trustees
• Identify irregularities, deficiencies, or material weaknesses in internal controls
• Provide technical guidance on implementation of new GASB pronouncements
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and actionably
• Coordinate with finance team to ensure timely completion of audit
• Conduct interim testing in November/December 2025
• Complete audit fieldwork by March 15, 2026
• Present audit findings to Board of Trustees in April 2026
