Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority

Buyer seeks professional grant writing services for Huntington Place Convention Center to reduce financial impact on annual budgets. Buyer desires grant funding for capital projects, building operations, and special expansion/redevelopment projects. The selected firm will identify potential grant revenue sources, prepare applications, ensure timely submission, and provide follow-up services. Contract is for three years with one two-year renewal option.

• 6/23/2025 - Pre-Bid Meeting
• 6/25/2025 - Deadline for Questions
• 7/1/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 7/3/2025 - Interviews with Selected Proposers
• 8/1/2025 - Contract Begin Date

• Lead Grant Writer must have minimum five years experience with Michigan governmental agencies

• Monitor state, federal and local funding sources for grant opportunities
• Prepare and submit grant applications with DRCFA approval
• Conduct funding needs analysis and identify appropriate grant resources
• Create graphics including GIS, zoning, and site maps
• Attend Capital Subcommittee meetings twice monthly and Board meetings monthly
• Provide status updates to the Authority as requested
• Identify grants for information systems, safety, historic preservation
• Secure funding for capital improvements and new construction projects
• Research tourism, hospitality, and hotel grant opportunities
• Pursue environmental, water, and energy conservation funding
