Food Assistance Employment and Training Program

Buyer seeks a subrecipient to operate the Food Assistance Employment and Training (FAE&T) program serving Wayne County (excluding Detroit). The program helps low-income adults receiving food assistance gain skills and employment to increase self-sufficiency. The selected contractor will deliver services at the Wayne American Job Center with some service provision at other locations. Program activities include job search assistance, education, vocational training, and supportive services.

- Operate FAE&T program at Wayne American Job Center
- Provide comprehensive coaching and case management services
- Develop individualized service plans for participants
- Deliver job search and job readiness activities
- Provide supportive services up to $960 per participant
- Maintain participant documentation in OSMIS system
- Serve minimum of 30 participants during program year
- Provide 16+ participants with supportive services
- Create quarterly financial forecasts
- Coordinate with MDHHS for participant referrals
