Buyer seeks a consultant to develop a comprehensive multi-year death penalty abolition strategy and operational plan. The consultant will work with key stakeholders to identify priorities and develop goals, tactics, and messages. Deliverables include a stakeholder assessment, facilitated session reports, a strategic plan, and an operational plan. The consultant will address challenges related to limited resources while maximizing impact in the U.S. abolition movement.

• Experience in death penalty abolition
• Experience in advocacy, grassroots organizing, and coalition work
• Proven track record developing and implementing abolition strategies
• Strong organizational skills to manage timelines, teams, and budgets
• Familiarity with Asana or other project management tools is a plus

• Conduct stakeholder interviews with AIUSA staff, coalition partners, and volunteers
• Facilitate strategic planning sessions during the SDPAC Institute
• Develop a multi-year death penalty abolition strategy
• Create an operational plan with timelines and resource needs
• Identify key performance indicators for measuring impact
• Analyze current death penalty advocacy strategies and challenges
• Design implementation processes that maximize limited resources
• Create stakeholder assessment summary report with analysis
• Develop messaging strategies for death penalty abolition advocacy
