Buyer seeks a qualified vendor to provide speech and language therapy services for students committed to the Alabama Department of Youth Services. Services will be provided at DYS facilities, contract facilities, and potentially for staff serving the population throughout Alabama. The goal is to remove language and communication barriers so students can access programs and services. The contract term is for two years with possible renewals for up to three additional years.

• 6/26/2025 - Proposal Due Date

• Valid license in speech-language pathology within Alabama
• Knowledge of special education laws and processes
• Familiarity with Alabama Administrative Code and IDEIA
• Understanding of Alabama's Mastering the Maze
• Background check clearance

• Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders for evaluations and eligibility
• Provide direct and indirect special education services for IEP goals
• Interpret assessment data and convey implications to IEP team members
• Conduct speech and language screenings as needed
• Assist in writing and developing IEP goals
• Collaborate with special education teachers and staff
• Monitor and maintain records of students' progress
• Respond promptly to needs based on student enrollment
• Maintain professional demeanor and positive rapport with students
• Participate in required DYS professional development and training
