Food Export Association of the Midwest USA and Food Export USA - Northeast

Buyer seeks one or more contractors to serve as Project Coordinators for food export market development programs. Buyer requires assistance with various international marketing activities including Buyers Missions, Food Show PLUS!, Focused Trade Missions, and Product Showcases. The contractor will support market development for processed foods, ingredients, seafood, and other agricultural products across multiple international markets. Buyer serves agricultural promotion agencies from 13 midwestern and 10 northeastern states.

• Previous experience planning similar activities for food/agricultural products
• Experience working effectively via phone, email and in person
• Previous experience with not-for-profit groups preferred
• International marketing experience preferred
• Experience with food/agricultural groups preferred

• Coordinate Buyers Missions bringing international buyers to the US
• Manage Food Show PLUS! services at international trade shows
• Organize Focused Trade Missions for US exporters abroad
• Execute Product Showcases at global trade events
• Develop marketing content for international representatives
• Research emerging export products and new market opportunities
• Coordinate partnerships with industry organizations
• Create educational materials for US food exporters
• Manage buyer-supplier meeting schedules and follow-up
• Ensure compliance with federal funding regulations
• Provide on-site coordination at international events
• Facilitate shipping of product samples internationally
• Document success stories and generate activity reports
• Coordinate retail and industry site tours
• Develop specialized content for non-food agricultural exports
• Build promotional strategies for niche industry sectors
• Cross-sell Food Export programs to participants
• Arrange virtual consultations when in-person is not possible
• Assist with importer education initiatives
• Adapt programs between virtual and in-person formats
