Buyer seeks proposals for engineering design services for the rehabilitation of two culverts in Chestnut Ridge Park. • Prepare design report evaluating rehabilitation and replacement alternatives for both culverts
• Develop preliminary plans with culvert and roadway views, elevations, and cross sections
• Conduct surveys and subsurface investigations at both culvert locations
• Perform environmental tasks and coordinate with utilities
• Prepare and submit all necessary permit applications
• Develop traffic control plans for construction phase
• Create detailed contract documents including plans and proposal book
• Prepare engineer's cost estimates at each design phase
• Analyze construction duration and scheduling to minimize park disruption
• Provide bid assistance including answering questions and issuing addenda
• Analyze bids and recommend award to lowest responsible bidder
• Consider potential park road closures and alternative routes for vehicles/pedestrians
• Prepare design solutions for deteriorated pipe inverts in PK-23
• Address delaminations, spalling, and exposed reinforcement in PK-26
• Design solutions for channel erosion at pipe outlets
• Evaluate twin corrugated metal pipes at PK-23 location
• Assess reinforced concrete frame possibly built over stone culvert at PK-26
• Design appropriate stormwater treatment systems
• Attend multiple stakeholder meetings throughout the design process
• Complete PS&E package for final design
