Buyer is making available up to $5.5 million in grant funds to municipal police departments to reduce roadway crashes, injuries, fatalities, and economic losses in Massachusetts. The grant program supports data-driven and evidence-based traffic enforcement activities and/or new strategies for road safety. Buyer encourages applicants to implement non-enforcement strategies that raise community awareness of traffic safety issues and help change road user behavior. Funding is provided through various NHTSA grant programs and departments may apply for different program elements based on their community needs.
