Water Supply Leak Detection Survey

Buyer seeks a qualified firm to conduct a citywide water supply leak detection survey to mitigate water losses. The water system includes approximately 138 miles of water main with two main transmission lines from Chicago. Pipe sizes range from 3" to 24" ductile iron with depths of 6 to 12 feet. The selected contractor must complete all surveying work and final reporting by December 31, 2025.

• Survey approximately 138 miles of water main
• Provide detailed methodology for surveying and reporting
• Provide onsite emergency leak detection within 2 hours
• Prepare comprehensive final report within 30 days of survey completion
• Estimate water loss in gallons per day for each leak
• Rank detected leaks by severity
• Provide drawings of leak locations with landmarks
• Survey transmission lines from Chicago (3" to 24" ductile pipe)
• Submit leak detection project management plan
• Make recommendations for future pro-active leak prevention measures
