Housing Authority of the City of Long Branch

Buyer seeks a qualified accountant or accounting firm to perform auditing services for its fiscal year ending 2025. The audit must be conducted in accordance with HUD requirements, GAAS, GAGAS, and OMB Circular A-133. Services include comprehensive financial and compliance auditing, internal control evaluation, and operational efficiency review. Buyer requires expertise in public housing authority accounting and HUD regulations.

• Must be a CPA licensed in New Jersey
• Must have experience representing New Jersey Public Housing Authorities
• Must have knowledge of relevant State and federal regulations
• Never been sanctioned or suspended from practice
• Must be approvable by HUD

• Draft comprehensive financial and compliance audit for fiscal year 2025
• Evaluate internal financial controls over cash receipts, disbursements, and payroll
• Review operational efficiency and effectiveness with recommendations for improvement
• Compare financial statements between prior and current fiscal years
• Assist with HUD REAC reporting and electronic submission certification
• Provide continuing professional education to staff on audit-related activities
• Conduct audit entrance and exit conferences with Executive Director
• Present audited financial statements to Board of Commissioners
• Perform audit in accordance with OMB Circular A-133
• Evaluate compliance with federal, state, and HUD regulations
