Buyer seeks a contractor to provide pavement marking and striping maintenance services throughout the city. Services include applying and removing various pavement markings such as crosswalks, stop bars, directional arrows, and parking lot lines. All street striping and marking must conform to MDOT standards. Contractor must complete downtown area work by June 27, 2025 or face daily penalties.

• 6/27/2025 - Downtown area completion deadline

• Previous municipal government pavement marking experience required
• Must provide three municipal government references
• Must maintain required insurance coverage
• Must follow MDOT traffic control guidelines
• Equipment must be certified by City's Department of Public Works

• Apply 6-inch crosswalk lines with glass beads
• Install 12-inch stop bars with glass beads
• Paint school legends and continental crosswalk pads
• Apply directional arrows (combination, left, right, straight)
• Paint railroad crossing legends and stop bars
• Mark parking spaces with 'T' and 'L' configurations
• Paint 4-inch parking lot lines
• Create blue handicapped parking stalls with legends
• Paint yellow curbs for no parking zones
• Install bike lane and moped symbols
• Remove and replace existing pavement markings
• Perform scarifying of existing markings when needed
• Conduct parking lot layouts
• Ensure all markings conform to MDOT standards
• Maintain proper traffic control during operations
• Test surface conditions before applying markings
• Complete downtown area markings by specified deadline
• Submit daily reports of work completed
• Apply proper glass bead application for reflectivity
• Clean surfaces prior to applying new markings
