Construction Services for The Denver Water Interconnections Project

Buyer seeks a qualified contractor to perform construction services for the Denver Water Interconnections Project. The project consists of two separate connections to Denver Water's potable distribution system. Work includes demolishing an existing vault, installing precast vaults, constructing a 36-inch steel water line, and installing a butterfly valve on Denver Water's 36-inch PCCP line. The interconnections will be manually activated by buyer in response to emergencies.

• 6/10/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 6/23/2025 - Anticipated Interviews
• 10/15/2025 - Construction of 36" Steel Water Line
• 12/12/2025 - Water Line Construction Completion
• 3/31/2026 - Project Completion

• Must be on Denver Water's pre-approved contractor list
• Experience with PCCP water piping
• Active registration in SAM.gov at time of bid submission

• Demolish existing vault at S. Clarkson St. and East Oxford Ave.
• Install precast vaults at two separate Denver Water connection locations
• Construct 36-inch steel water line in E. Chenango Ave.
• Install butterfly valve on Denver Water's 36-inch PCCP water line
• Install meters, Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs), and associated EI&C infrastructure
• Work with PCCP (Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe) water lines
• Develop detailed Method of Procedures (MOP) for each interconnect
• Perform pressure testing and disinfection of new water facilities
• Comply with WIFIA funding requirements including American Iron and Steel provisions
• Manage traffic and coordinate with Denver Water for system shutdowns
