Consultant will work with staff and community focus groups to develop standards that align with the Parks, Arts, Recreation, Culture and Conservation Plan and Redmond 2050 comprehensive plan.

  • Assess existing signage and wayfinding systems in parks and trails
  • Compile comprehensive inventory of current signage and wayfinding
  • Identify system gaps or inconsistencies in current signage
  • Develop design standards for various sign types
  • Create graphics guidelines for typography, colors, and branding elements
  • Recommend durable, weather-resistant, and sustainable materials
  • Ensure compliance with ADA and universal design best practices
  • Develop messaging guidelines including translation requirements
  • Provide cost estimates for design, fabrication, and installation
  • Create implementation plan with phased priorities
  • Engage with Parks, Trails and Recreation Commission
  • Work with Signage and Wayfinding Subcommittee
  • Develop sign hierarchy for parks, trails, facilities and City-wide points
  • Define order of signage and wayfinding installation
  • Develop strategy for addressing existing signage
  • Create key deliverables timeline
  • Produce samples of similar wayfinding plans
  • Align designs with city branding requirements
  • Meet requirements of Redmond Zoning Code 21.44.010
