Buyer is seeking a multi-faceted architectural/engineering design firm to design a new building that will house a Cultural Center for the Arts and a Presidential Library honoring John Adams. The project will create an interactive facility with exhibits for all ages utilizing new technologies. Buyer envisions the facility as a way to draw visitors to the renovated downtown area while complementing other Adams historical sites.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field plus five years experience
• Professional registration as PE, Registered Architect, or related field
• Experience with similar historic urban design projects
• Current licenses in architecture, engineering, and planning
• Experience with Chapter 149A Construction Manager at Risk delivery method

• Design a new multi-level building housing civic space, cultural center and presidential library
• Conduct preliminary architectural concepts and feasibility study
• Create charrettes and lead public meetings on evolving concepts
• Coordinate with future tenants including Adams Presidential Center Foundation
• Develop architectural and site/civil engineering designs
• Obtain state and local permits for the project
• Prepare design documents for Massachusetts MGL Chapter 149A CMaR project delivery
• Support procurement with designs and specifications for trade contractors
• Provide construction phase architectural services
• Coordinate commissioning services
