The selected company will work within the Treasury/Finance Departments to maintain property appraisal programs for 7,763 parcels. Services include maintaining assessment rolls, processing exemptions, representing the city in appeals, and communicating with the public on assessing issues.

- Michigan Advanced Assessing Officer (MAAO) Level 4 Assessor on staff
- Experience in municipal assessing services
- Proficiency in BS&A/Equalizer software
- Maintain assessment rolls for ad valorem and specific tax rolls
- Process Principle Residence Exemptions and Property Transfer Affidavits
- Analyze property sales to determine values and assessment adjustments
- Update and appraise new construction to establish property assessments
- Process Personal Property Statements with annual inspection
- Represent City in assessment appeals to Board of Review and Tax Tribunal
- Prepare and work with all Boards of Review in July, December, and March
- Perform land divisions in compliance with State Land Division Act
- Track captured values in tax capture districts
- Process poverty exemption applications and hold annual workshops
