Elko County

Buyer seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive jail food services. The contractor will prepare three nutritionally balanced meals daily (two hot, one cold) for detainees/inmates at the Elko County Jail. The jail houses an average of 140-150 individuals with capacity for 200. Buyer will provide a fully equipped commercial-grade kitchen and necessary accessories.

• Provide three meals daily (two hot, one cold) to inmates
• Ensure meals meet NCCHC and Nevada Health Department standards

• Maintain sanitation standards according to health codes
• Use county kitchen equipment responsibly
• Maintain accurate meal records
• Coordinate with jail staff regarding inmate counts
• Participate in performance reviews and inspections
• Follow jail security protocols including staff background checks
• Create nutritionally balanced menus
• Serve 140-150 inmates daily, up to 200 capacity
• Operate seven days per week including holidays
• Maintain confidentiality of inmate information
• Report kitchen maintenance needs promptly
• Document special dietary needs and accommodations
• Provide safety and sanitation protocols
• Submit detailed billing invoices within 90 days
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws
• Obtain required insurance coverage
