Buyer is seeking a qualified organization to provide Destination Marketing Organization Services. The contractor will promote Newport as a premier coastal destination to increase overnight visitation and visitor spending. Services include destination marketing, brand management, stakeholder relations, events promotion, content creation, and targeted advertising. The contract term is two years with an option to extend for one additional two-year term.

• 4/17/2025 - Release of Request for Proposals
• 4/30/2025 - Written Questions Due
• 5/19/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 6/3/2025 - Proposal Award Date
• 7/1/2025 - Contractor Begins Work

• Qualified to conduct business in Oregon and Newport
• If corporation/LLC, in good standing with Secretary of State

• Develop and implement data-driven destination marketing plan with measurable KPIs
• Manage and evolve the Discover Newport brand across all platforms
• Create high-quality content including photography, videography and storytelling assets
• Maintain website and social media channels with timely, mobile-friendly content
• Deploy targeted advertising campaigns to high-value visitor segments
• Develop signature events and thematic campaigns that encourage overnight stays
• Facilitate engagement with local businesses, nonprofits, and cultural institutions
• Prioritize sustainability and highlight underrepresented voices in promotion efforts
• Provide quarterly progress reports and performance metrics to City Council
• Conduct annual tourism-relations survey for the community
