• Bachelor's degree with 24 hours of accounting
• Six hours of intermediate accounting
• Three hours of auditing
• One year of experience in Texas tax auditing or services

• Conduct tax compliance examinations for Sales and Use Tax
• Review taxpayers' operations, records and reporting history
• Prepare examination work papers in prescribed format
• Complete examinations by established deadlines
• Conduct entrance and exit conferences with taxpayers
• Create examination plans for assigned taxpayers
• Screen proposed taxpayers for conflicts of interest
• Submit monthly status reports and hours reports
