Buyer is soliciting proposals for auditing services for fiscal years ending June 30, 2025 through June 30, 2027, with an option to renew for two subsequent years. The scope includes financial statement audits, Federal and State Single Audits, and related reporting. Buyer requires the auditor to follow generally accepted auditing standards and government auditing standards. The auditor must examine financial statements and provide opinions on their compliance with applicable standards.

• 6/17/2025 - Award by Board of Education
• 12/1/2025 - Draft reports due
• 12/31/2025 - Financial statement filing
• 1/31/2026 - EFS and related forms

• Must be independent of the District
• Qualified to practice in Connecticut
• Experience auditing Connecticut municipalities
• Office located within Connecticut
• Staff must meet CPE requirements under Government Auditing Standards

• Audit financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
• Conduct Federal Single Audit in compliance with Uniform Guidance
• Perform State Single Audit per State requirements
• Issue recommendations to management in a separate letter
• Prepare financial statements from District provided data
• Report irregularities and illegal acts immediately in writing
• Complete Municipal Audit Questionnaire for State submission
• Conduct EFS agreed-upon procedures reporting
• Present findings to Finance Committee and/or Board of Education
• Provide guidance on new GASB accounting standards
