Buyer is accepting competitive grant applications from state charter schools to assist with financing school building projects, general improvements to school buildings, and repayment of debt incurred for school building projects. Buyer will evaluate applications based on demonstrated need, school performance, long-term property interest, and cost information. Preference will be given to applicants providing matching funds from non-state sources.

  • 5/16/2025 - Proposal Due Date
  • Must be a state charter school governing authority
  • Must have met 95% test taking threshold in 2023-24 state assessments
  • Must not be identified as Focus or Turnaround Schools
  • Must demonstrate long-term interest in property for which funds are sought
  • Finance construction, purchase, extension, or renovation of school buildings
  • Replace windows, doors, boilers, and heating/ventilation components
  • Upgrade internal communication systems and technology infrastructure
  • Replace lockers, floors, and ceilings in school buildings
  • Upgrade restrooms including fixtures and water systems
  • Install or upgrade security equipment and lighting systems
  • Upgrade entryways, parking areas, and athletic fields
  • Repay outstanding debt incurred for school building projects
  • Provide documentation of property value and long-term interest
  • Demonstrate zoning compliance for educational use
