The selected provider will manage all aspects of billing and collections for emergency medical services, with a focus on maximizing revenue recovery while ensuring regulatory compliance. Buyer responds to approximately 3,500 EMS calls annually providing both ALS and BLS transport services. • Based in California or have significant operational presence
• Knowledge of AB 716 and its impact on ambulance billing
• Experience with California EMS reimbursement programs

• Process EMS transport claims to Medicare, Medi-Cal, and private insurance
• Manage accounts receivable including denial follow-up
• Support California-specific reimbursement programs (VRRP, IGT, PP-GEMT)
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient data security
• Generate monthly financial and collection reports
• Provide multilingual patient support call center
• Integrate with ESO Electronic Health Record system
• Demonstrate AB 716 compliance in billing practices
• Offer fair dispute resolution for patient concerns
• Support audits and data reviews
