Accounting and Bookkeeping Services for Public Broadcasting

Buyer seeks a qualified firm to provide comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping services for Northwest Public Broadcasting. The contractor will leverage existing transaction reports, FY24 audited financial statements, and supporting documents to create FY25 financial statements and FY26 monthly financial reports. Services include preparing monthly financial statements, annual financial statements, catch-up work for FY25, and maintaining detailed accounting records. The work will support radio and television operations within the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.

- Licensed or capable of being licensed in Washington state
- Two years' experience in accounting and bookkeeping services developing balance sheet entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements using transaction reports from WSU accounting system
- Develop supporting schedules, roll forwards, footnotes, and Management Discussion and Analysis
- Create detailed asset listings including depreciation, disposals, and essential audit details
- Maintain out-of-system records for asset assignment and in-kind contributions
- Prepare separate financial statements for radio and TV divisions
- Perform catch-up effort on monthly tracking for FY25 audit preparation
- Create and maintain balance sheet from revenue and expense transaction detail
- Track assets associated with public broadcasting according to GAAP and GASB standards
- Reconcile financial records between WSU accounting system and NWPB requirements
- Track distribution of contributions between radio and TV operations
