Buyer is seeking qualified individuals to provide Prevention Consultant Services to support Substance Use Prevention Systems in Alabama. The consultant will provide technical assistance, training, and administrative leadership to community partners. Buyer requires expertise in substance use prevention theory, community mobilization, and organizational development. The position involves extensive in-state travel and some out-of-state travel for training.

• Extensive knowledge of Substance Use Prevention theory and practice
• Advanced Human Services Degree and/or Certified Prevention Specialist certification
• At least five years experience in human services field
• Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training certificate
• Experience maintaining documentation for program goals
• Experience facilitating training in human services field
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Understanding of Strategic Prevention Framework

• Perform administrative tasks related to target outcomes and prevention reports
• Serve as liaison between Sr. Program Manager and community partners
• Coordinate technical assistance and training supporting Strategic Prevention Framework
• Provide administrative leadership to create sustained prevention capacity
• Assess prevention practice needs and recommend enhancement options
• Integrate best practice approaches with community partners for sustainability
• Train and implement national best practice methodologies for Substance Use Prevention
• Facilitate education on key prevention concepts
• Document and evaluate success factors in prevention systems development
• Facilitate culturally competent practice and organizational change
• Establish networks with community stakeholders through extensive in-state travel
• Attend national trainings and develop models for knowledge transfer
• Support coalition meetings and development
• Maintain professional integrity with community providers and partners
• Facilitate training face-to-face and virtually
