The contractor will provide comprehensive financial management including CFO leadership, accounting operations, compliance, grant administration, and support for ERP system transition. - Extensive experience providing CFO-level financial management services
- Expertise in US DOT FTA compliance and grant administration
- Experience with MDOT Accounting systems
- Knowledge of GFOA standards and best practices
- Experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com financial systems
- Function as the RTA's contracted Accounting Department with CFO leadership
- Prepare monthly financial statements for Board presentation
- Coordinate federal and state grant management and compliance
- Manage accounts payable and vendor payments
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and P-Card accounts
- Oversee financial audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Lead annual budget development and presentation process
- Support transition to a more robust ERP solution
- Provide strategic financial thought leadership and guidance
- Maintain restricted grant tracking and reporting
