Buyer seeks professional engineering services for inspection and contract administration for the replacement of Bridge A-38 on County Route 54 over Swimming River Reservoir. The project involves complete removal of the existing bridge and staged construction of a new single-span bridge. The work includes concrete pile foundations, abutments, precast beams, concrete deck, and realignment of the eastern approach roadway. The consultant must provide a full-time Resident Inspector and Project Manager with support staff for the duration of the project.

• Specialized expertise in bridge inspection and contract administration
• Experience with bridge rehabilitation/replacement
• Experience with roadway construction
• Knowledge of traffic staging methods

• Provide full-time Resident Inspector supervised by licensed Professional Engineer
• Perform periodic site inspections by Project Manager
• Review shop drawings not covered by Design Consultant
• Respond to Contractor requests for information
• Prepare materials for testing by County's on-call laboratory
• Coordinate with County's on-call testing Consultant
• Review test results from on-call testing Consultant
• Monitor concrete pile installation for bridge foundation
• Oversee construction of concrete abutments and wingwalls
• Inspect installation of precast prestressed concrete beams
• Supervise construction of cast-in-place concrete deck and sidewalks
• Monitor installation of steel sheet pile walls
• Oversee construction of concrete retaining wall
• Monitor roadway realignment to eliminate existing S-curve
• Ensure compliance with NJDOT requirements
• Manage staged construction to maintain traffic flow
• Provide technical support for unforeseen circumstances
• Coordinate scheduling of construction activities
• Administer contract throughout project duration
• Provide qualified engineers and technicians for project support
