Buyer seeks a Communications Director or Manager to develop and execute strategic communications initiatives. The role focuses on building activist networks, influencing decision-makers, and increasing awareness of buyer's mission. Buyer promotes walkable, bikeable, inclusive, transit-oriented communities in the Washington DC region. The position is currently remote with hybrid work arrangement expected in early 2025.

• Four to eight years of relevant communications experience
• Experience developing successful communications plans
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• CRM experience including managing contact lists
• Experience with website content management systems
• Strong editing and proofreading ability
• Strong organizational and project management skills

• Develop and execute strategic communications and marketing initiatives
• Build a network of dedicated activists and donors
• Influence decision-makers to achieve better outcomes
• Define and communicate the organization's vision and branding
• Manage social media presence across multiple platforms
• Maintain and update the organization's website
• Develop comprehensive messaging and communications plans
• Create high-quality content for advocacy campaigns
• Facilitate staff interviews with media representatives
• Track and analyze metrics across digital platforms
