Buyer seeks qualified engineering firms to design sidewalk improvements along South Frontage Road in Vail. The project includes two sections: from Donovan Park to Westhaven Drive and from West Lionshead Circle to East Lionshead Circle. Services include survey, civil and structural engineering for grading, drainage, and structural retaining walls. Designs must meet Town of Vail, CDOT, and AASHTO standards.

• Project manager must be licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado
• Familiarity with CDOT's Special Use Permitting process

• Design 12' wide path platform separated from roadway
• Develop maximum 5% profile on sidewalk
• Design retaining walls up to 6' with stone veneer
• Create railings matching existing between Westhaven and Sandstone underpass
• Provide drainage improvements as necessary
• Establish horizontal and vertical control consistent with Town system
• Perform topographic survey including underground utilities
• Develop digital terrain model with one-foot contours
• Coordinate utility relocation and prepare agreements
• Prepare construction phasing and signage drawings
• Complete CDOT Special Use Permit package
• Develop construction stormwater management plan
• Facilitate project meetings and document minutes
• Design improvements meeting TOV, CDOT and AASHTO standards
• Create 5' wide roadway shoulder where attached to curb/gutter
• Pothole critical utilities as needed
• Develop right-of-way corridor ownership documentation
• Prepare final bid documents and construction plan set
• Create AutoCAD file containing planimetric and underground features
• Conduct site walkthrough to document constraints and opportunities
