Department of Public Safety

Buyer seeks a contractor to provide broad research capabilities concerning criminal justice and juvenile justice information in Vermont. The contractor will provide a range of research services including administrative coordination, grant writing, data analysis, research development, and technical assistance. Buyer requires protection of deidentified data and regular performance reporting. The contract period is for 2 years with an option to renew for up to two additional twelve-month periods.

• Experience in broad research capabilities concerning criminal justice and juvenile justice information

• Coordinate statewide planning for criminal justice research and data collection
• Create and staff a Stakeholders Advisory Board for justice research
• Develop contracts for program evaluations and criminal justice policy research
• Submit or assist with grant development for criminal justice system programs
• Provide statistical analysis for sentencing and juvenile justice data
• Protect deidentified data with encryption and role-based authentication
• Provide technical assistance to criminal justice agencies around research issues
• Support development of performance measures under Results Based Accountability
• Deliver quarterly performance reports to the Department of Public Safety
• Deliver reports in multiple formats including Excel, Word, HTML and CSV
