Housing Authority of the City of Long Branch

Buyer is seeking fee accounting services for its public housing authority. Buyer requires a qualified accountant or accounting firm to handle all financial matters connected to its housing programs. Services must comply with HUD requirements and New Jersey State Law. The contract period will be for one year beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026.

• 5/6/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 7/1/2025 - Contract start
• 6/30/2026 - Contract end

• Must be a CPA licensed in New Jersey with no sanctions
• Must have experience representing New Jersey Public Housing Authorities
• Must have knowledge of relevant State and federal regulations
• Must never have been suspended or debarred by any federal or state agency
• Must be approvable by HUD

• Establish and maintain accounting books and records, with monthly general ledger postings
• Prepare and file budgets, reports, and financial statements required by HUD and NJ law
• Prepare and electronically submit all required financial reports
• Attend meetings with Board, staff, HUD, and auditors as requested
• Reconcile tenant account balances with accountant's control records
• Prepare audit work papers for independent audit
• Prepare monthly financial reports for Housing Authority Board meetings
• Maintain books in accordance with GAAP and HUD requirements
• Prepare and file 1099 forms
• Assist with Capital Fund and other program accounting
