Housing Authority of the City of Long Branch

Buyer is seeking qualified accountants or accounting firms to conduct an audit of its books and records for fiscal year ending 2025. The audit must comply with federal and state requirements including HUD guidelines, GAAS, GAGAS, and OMB A-133. Services include financial and compliance auditing for all programs including Public Housing, Section 8, and Capital Fund programs.

• 5/6/2025 - Proposal Due Date

• Must be a CPA licensed in New Jersey
• Never been sanctioned or suspended from practice
• Experience representing New Jersey Public Housing Authorities
• Knowledge of relevant State and federal regulations
• Must be approvable by HUD

• Draft comprehensive financial and compliance audit
• Compare financial statements between prior and current fiscal years
• Assist with HUD REAC electronic reporting requirements
• Conduct audit entrance and exit conferences
• Present audit findings to Board of Commissioners
• Evaluate internal financial controls over cash receipts and disbursements
• Review operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Implement recommendations for current fiscal year
• Provide professional education to staff on audit-related activities
• Certify electronic reporting in compliance with deadlines
