• Licensed as registered public school accountant in New Jersey
• Significant experience in New Jersey public sector auditing
• Experience with boards of education
• Experience with public sector budgets exceeding $20,000,000

• Audit district annual financial statements and compliance systems
• Examine books and financial records for compliance with NJ education requirements
• Prepare detailed audit findings and CAFR reports
• Review budget line items transfers and fund balances
• Conduct inspections of financial transactions to ensure proper procedures
• Provide assistance for ASBO Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting
• Audit recording of expense invoices
• Compile financial statements using district basic data
• Conduct field visits to verify accounting practices
• Respond to information requests from School Administrators or Board Members
• Maintain essential auditing records and files
• Learn district's electronic and computerized information systems
• Make periodic reviews of financial transactions
• Prepare 15 bound and 2 unbound copies of final reports
• Provide electronic versions of documents as directed
• Confirm compliance with State Board of Education requirements
• Verify appropriation for fund balances
• Audit expenditure classifications and appropriation accounts
• Express opinion on district's system of internal controls
• Assist with federal and state finance assistance requirements
