- Experience with Florida laws including Statute 218.39
- Perform financial audits pursuant to Florida Statute 218.39
- Express opinion on fair presentation of basic financial statements
- Review fund and account group financial statements
- Ensure conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Adhere to Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements
- Audit supporting schedules in Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
- Prepare supporting schedules for ACFR
- Evaluate internal financial controls
- Verify compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Present audit findings to City officials
