Police Officer Standards and Training Academy

The buyer is seeking proposals for advanced in-service training programs for experienced law enforcement officers. The training should focus on supervisor, middle, and executive management levels. The buyer requires assistance in developing, delivering, and evaluating training for state and municipal police officers. The contract period is for two years with an option to extend. All training must be exportable to Connecticut and cannot include online or distance learning courses.

• Previous experience presenting to experienced law enforcement officers

• Develop and deliver advanced in-service training for experienced law enforcement officers
• Present technical training to officers of all ranks and assignments
• Design curriculum for supervisor, middle, and executive management training
• Provide exportable training courses to be conducted in Connecticut
• Evaluate and assess effectiveness of delivered training programs
• Create student handouts and reference materials for training courses
• Implement various teaching methodologies suitable for law enforcement training
• Customize training content for basic, intermediate, and advanced level officers
• Demonstrate competence in law enforcement-specific subject matter
• Conduct training needs assessment for Connecticut police departments
