Buyer is seeking a certified public accounting firm to audit financial statements for fiscal years 2025-2029. The engagement includes auditing in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, GAO Auditing Standards, Single Audit Act requirements, and OMB guidelines. The 5-year contract will be subject to annual review and requires comprehensive audit services including financial statement preparation and compliance reporting.

• 3/24/2025 - Release of RFP
• 4/11/2025 - Due Date for Receipt of Questions
• 4/30/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 5/28/2025 - Approval by Board of Commissioners

• Independent and licensed to practice in Michigan
• No conflict of interest with Newaygo County
• Submit recent external quality control review report
• Record of quality audit work

• Conduct financial statement audit in accordance with GAAS and GAO standards
• Audit compliance with Single Audit Act and OMB requirements
• Prepare financial statements, notes, and required supplemental information
• Issue reports on compliance and internal controls
• Provide in-relation-to opinion on Schedule of Federal Awards
• Prepare management letter with improvement recommendations
• File annual financial statements with Michigan Department of Treasury
• Assist with Single Audit Clearinghouse submission and Form SF-SAC
• Prepare State of Michigan F-65 report
• Coordinate with component unit auditors
