• Evaluate internal controls in accordance with Government Auditing Standards
• Perform compliance auditing with laws, regulations, contracts, and grants
• Prepare detailed management letters with recommendations for improvement
• Issue reports on major federal programs per OMB requirements
• Prepare Comparative Report Transmittal Forms for Virginia Auditor
• Attend planning meetings and conferences with County representatives
• Issue separate financial reports for component units
• Communicate audit findings to Board of Supervisors in public session
• Perform agreed-upon procedures for Jail Cost Report and solid waste facilities
