Town of Hartland

Buyer seeks engineering services to design the replacement of an undersized 108" x 103" x 70ft stone box culvert on Jenneville Road in Hartland, VT. The new culvert must have approximately 16ft x 6ft opening and meet approval of the Agency of Natural Resources. Work includes site inspection, topographic survey, design development, permitting, and limited construction assistance. Design and bid documents must be completed by November 28, 2025, with construction anticipated for 2027.

• 1/1/2027 - Anticipated construction

• Must be registered with Vermont Secretary of State's Office

• Design replacement of undersized stone box culvert with 16ft x 6ft opening
• Meet Agency of Natural Resources and DEC Rivers Management approval requirements
• Conduct site inspection and review hydraulic study and town codes
• Develop alternative designs with conceptual costs for town evaluation
• Perform topographic survey and develop accurate base mapping
• Identify and resolve utility conflicts or relocations
• Determine and acquire all necessary environmental permits
• Design to HL-93 standards with proper erosion prevention measures
• Prepare traffic control plans for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians
• Develop right-of-way plans and assist with acquisition process
• Create contract plans, technical specifications, and engineer's estimate
• Assemble complete construction bid package and assist with bidding
• Provide limited construction phase assistance and shop drawing review
• Coordinate with Vermont ANR Rivers Management Engineer
• Design in accordance with 2024 VTrans Standard Specifications
