- Teachers must possess valid teaching license for early childhood grades
- Must employ on-site Education Director with early childhood certification
- Minimum one teacher and one aide per classroom
- Compliance with NYSED fingerprinting requirements
- Ability to meet all applicable health and safety codes
- Provide full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten for four-year-old students
- Align curriculum with NYS Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core standards
- Administer district-approved screening and curriculum-based assessments
- Provide services for children with disabilities in inclusive settings
- Support English Language Learners with appropriate instructional strategies
- Serve meals meeting National School Lunch Program requirements
- Maintain appropriate teacher-student ratios with qualified staff
- Participate in district-provided professional development
- Provide nursing and security services on-site
- Facilitate transition of Pre-K students to Kindergarten
- Engage parents in understanding curriculum and kindergarten application process
- Maintain proper documentation and attendance records
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety codes
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance student experiences
- Implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum
- Provide outdoor play opportunities and appropriate rest periods
- Maintain fiscal records documenting allocation of UPK/SUFDPK funds
- Follow district calendar with minimum 6 instructional hours daily
- Support students' cognitive, literacy, and social-emotional development
- Maintain clean, safe facility with appropriate learning environments
