Chatham County Schools

Buyer is seeking architectural services for design, engineering, and construction administration of three new middle school gyms. The project includes building LEED Silver Pre-Engineered Metal Building gyms at Bennett, Bonlee, and Silk Hope Schools. Each gym will accommodate a 400-student school capacity with appropriate court size, locker rooms, and various amenities. The project also includes demolition of existing gyms and repurposing those areas for parking.

• Demonstrated experience with public schools
• Demonstrated experience with LEED certification
• Familiarity with Chatham County
• Proximity to the project site
• Ability to meet project schedule and budget

• Design three LEED Silver Pre-Engineered Metal Building gyms
• Provide programming, planning, design, and construction administration services
• Develop site plans that allow existing gyms to operate during construction
• Coordinate wastewater treatment integration with municipal water systems
• Obtain required agency approvals for existing gym buildings demolition
• Develop construction bid documents and execute the bid process
• Provide presentations to Board of Education as requested
• Coordinate demolition of existing gyms and convert areas to parking
• Ensure adherence to the project schedule and $20M budget
• Conduct construction administration and inspection services
